Ceramics I: Intro to Clay

In this hands-on workshop you will learn the basic tools and materials used to make hand-built ceramics.

Students will learn these fundamental skills:

• Pinching
• Coiling with banding wheel
• Slab preparation with the slab roller
• Wedging

By the end of this workshop, students will have created at least three ceramics projects:

• pinch pot
• small slab plate
• coil bowl
